The Reality

What Is Holding Plateau Back

The failures of the past have left our people vulnerable. These are the challenges we must confront.

Blood on the Plateau

Over 2,500 killed between 2023 and 2025. Attacks continue despite billions spent on security. Communities live in fear, and government response remains reactive and rhetorical.

84% Poverty Rate

Plateau is rich in minerals, agriculture, and tourism, yet our people remain poor. The state depends on federal allocation while its vast economic potential lies underutilised.

Youth Without Futures

Unemployment and inadequate skills push our young people to seek survival elsewhere. A generation is being lost because no one built the structures for them to thrive at home.

Cycle of Empty Promises

Every attack is followed by the same condolence statements. The same press releases. The same assurances. Nothing changes. The people are tired of "condolences without protection".

Weak Institutions

Corruption and lack of accountability have eroded trust in government. Public office has become entitlement rather than stewardship. The systems meant to protect citizens have failed them.

Land and Identity Conflicts

Farmer-herder clashes, land grabbing, and competition over resources fuel recurring violence. Weak policing allows reprisal attacks to spiral, creating cycles of bloodshed.

The Record

Where Others Have Failed

We do not promise to do the same things better. We promise to do different things.

Security Spending Without Security

Plateau spent ₦23.69 billion on security in six months, yet over 200 people were killed in the same period. Money alone does not stop bullets. Political will does.

Reactive Governance

Security experts confirm that response to attacks is consistently too slow. Curfews take 24-48 hours to enforce, giving assailants time to escape. Proactive prevention has been abandoned.

Condolence as Policy

Residents have publicly demanded the Governor resign if he cannot stop the killings, tired of the "same scripted press statement" after every massacre.

Abandoned Economic Potential

While other states build industries, Plateau exports raw materials and imports finished goods. No value chains. No processing plants. No industrial clusters. Just potential, wasted.

The KRP Difference

What We Will Do Differently

From the Mission and Vision: A new direction for Plateau.

Intelligence Before Incidence

We will build community-based early warning systems and technology-assisted monitoring that prevent attacks before they happen. Security will be proactive, not reactive. "Security will not be politicised. It will be prioritised."

Industry, Not Allocation

We will move Plateau from consumption to production. Agro-processing hubs. Mining value addition. Manufacturing clusters. "Plateau must move from dependence on allocation to production strength."

Skills Over Survival

Skill acquisition centres in every senatorial zone. Startup incubators. A Youth Enterprise Fund. "A generation that is employable, entrepreneurial, productive, and globally competitive."

Moral Governance

Public office as stewardship, not entitlement. Zero tolerance for corruption. Decisions driven by conscience, not political survival. "Bringing God back into government is about restoring moral consciousness to leadership."

Justice Without Bias

Equal protection under the law. Swift justice for perpetrators of violence. Protection for minority and vulnerable communities. "When citizens believe the system is fair, unity becomes possible."

Fiscal Discipline

Transparent borrowing policies. Capital-project linked loans only. Public financial dashboards. Revenue expansion through productivity, not taxation harassment. "Operating government beyond subvention."

"Condolences without protection are not leadership."

"Plateau is not poor. Plateau is poorly managed."

"We will not manage poverty. We will end it."

Our Mission

A Plateau Where Peace Is Permanent

To restore ethical governance anchored on integrity and reverence for the sanctity of life; to establish a robust security architecture that guarantees safety for all communities; to aggressively develop human capital through education, skills, and enterprise; to uphold justice without bias; and to industrialize Plateau State by expanding productivity beyond allocation dependence — creating sustainable wealth, jobs, and inclusive prosperity for present and future generations.
